Waylander
Team I didn't haven't done the useful backup things with my NAS mainly as I haven't invested the time in working out how the heck to sort the backup. Okay so if I have a folder on the NAS I want to backup a local folder to, if I map the NAS folder as a network folder (say the "photos" or else a "software" folder ive created on it) can I then use something like SYnctoy to do the backing up? I still haven't also worked out how the heck to do continuous backups of the various user documents folder onto the Synology
Waylander
Update. Went ahead and tried it and it works great will look into an automated solution at some point but for now this works.
Scotty
You may find that the NAS has software similar to Dropbox where it can sync between multiple devices so you don't even have to do anything. Depends if that's what you want really.
