RS3 - Saloon!

When you're ready, ask Booster if he can help with a decent finance deal on a pre-reg car. I kind of owe him a sale after I bottled out of an M3 a couple of years ago... :P

There's one or two M3 Competition Packs out there in Long Beach Blue. Different to San Marino - more sort of turquoisy then purply - but stunning in the flesh.

Try Ian Ross at Specialist cars in Luton, they have quite a few M cars come through so might have a good selection.

I'd be wanting closer to 20% on an M3.

Is 20% achievable?

I might have to start looking at used examples to get a decent high spec, residuals seem bad even with the discounts and 0% finance offer.

That's exactly why they are bad.... BMW wrecking the used values with huge discounts and low apr finance on new cars.

Redline re a very good indy dealership, prep the cars very well and a 2017 car still has LOAD of manufacturer warranty. £45k... should get for c£43k with a strong haggle

I think buying used with a higher spec / mileage is going to be a better (wiser) option for me..... not too fussed about mileage as I do about 90 miles per day anyways.

My Golf R is coming up to 41k miles next week :D

Just a bummer I am not in a position to do any finance checks / agreements due to the house move next month, bad timing.

Looks great, but need 4 doors to make life easier with the kids (3 yr old and a 9 month old) hence me looking at the M3 saloon.

The RS3 sportback isn't much larger than my Golf R which kind of defeated the point in getting something with a bigger boot.

My Golf R has to be worth around £19-22k so this would go towards the next car + a few £££ on top to round it off to £25k deposit.

Ideally want to try and aim for monthly payments of around £250-300pm.

You've come a long long way since that competition Boxster!

That thought is truly scary...

When I joined TSN 2004/2005ish it was because I had issues (manufacturing quality) with the .:R32, and this site was recommended to me by an independent VAG specialist.

Then I won the Boxster 2 years later, starting a terrible habit of one lass, a rescue kat and a hooligan daily driver and a "weekend and holiday toy".

I have been much more sedate at updating my Dailies - .:R32, .:R36 Estate, ML500 (named "Moby Dick")

Toys - Boxster (987), 996.2 C4S (tweaked), mad Jaguar XKR (Salsa Red!) with black&speed packs, Panamera, C205 C63 Coupe, GLC 63S (named "Junior")

The sequence may now slow for a while. Ummm, the sequence WILL now slow for a while...  :)

So I kind of like the idea of a "bright" M3 but going to have to just wait it out another month or so before I am in a serious position.

A highly loaded used example seems more and more appealing both in terms of spec and money but I may not be able to get the right colour.

Could always get it wrapped I suppose :D
