The BMW salesman hinted at the same and advised I wait it out. Not great I know but can't take the risk at the moment. Sent you a pm

NewNiceMrMe
I don't know what to say except... Riz drove a BMW M car and discovered what everyone else has been saying for 15 years*. *I'm delighted for you, Riz, a very wise and nice choice.
E-bmw
He can't help the fact that he was brought up as a VAG-slag.......... At least he has been open enough to be brought back into the light.

I haven't bought it yet.... but realistically can't see anything that interests me in the current Volkswagen / Audi line-up. My local tyre fitter owns a Yas Merino M3 CP and it looks the business with all the carbon bits. Roll on June 22nd.

NewNiceMrMe
£404 for rears on a 420d sounds perfectly usual to me. I paid £432 for a pair of Dunlop SP Sport Maxx rears on my 520d (on 19" wheels which I suspect yours is too).
Andrew
Good effort Riz. BMW’s are the nuts. I’d ponder one for our family car if I was sure the missus would take care of it. Given the state of the Passat, I don’t think she would!

Yes 19 inch, decided to stick with what the car was supplied with, these were not the cheapest either, some other runflats were about £220 each. STill they lasted 32k miles, so not too bad, much better than my last cars managed.

Riz
Quick update folks...... not good news, after much thought I have decided to stick with my Golf R for the time being. My contract is due to end August so wan't to hold out and see if it will be extended or not before committing to a new car. I have also decided to convert the garage into a dedicated home cinema which is going to eat some of my M3 funds :D Moving house next week so have a lot to do. Mac
That far away? Hmmm, perhaps a re-think required. I really don't like the engine in the M3/M4, it just sounds awful :/
