Cuprabob
Johnny Rea got a brief mention but I was really surprised that Cal Crutchlow never even got a mention in the programme for his achievement this year of winning 2 top flight races.
Arch
Rachel Atherton get a mention? Most people won't have a clue who she is. To say she's utterly dominated womens downhill mountain biking is understatement of the year.
garcon magnifique
Cal Crutchlow did get a mention, but you could easily have missed it. Especially as I think it may have been just after Laura and her shiny dress.

I stand corrected then but I do remember the dress:-) Just heard that only around 1m people voted which compared to Strictly and X Factor figures is really sad. Looks as though it's had it's day. Why not show the whole list a week before and give everyone the chance to vote who wants to?

NewNiceMrMe
The nominations have been online for a month. The shortlist and then the final candidates. Voting can't be done until the evening and is done in a limited timeframe to minimise the risk of vote rigging. (Other countries have done it and all of them suffered from people registering 5-10 email addresses to vote 5-10 times etc in campaigns for particular people, hence the BBC have done it another way and the other countries now do it too). It isn't perfect, nor is the limited range of sports it often mentions, but I think it is classic case of doing the best they can with the time they have and catering for the masses.
