Away days

Long term problem at home. Fickle fans and dwindling numbers. You should be flattered that 3,500 home fans is slightly more than normal. Huge contrast to Oldham's away following, one of the largest and noisiest in the division.

By the way, was it wrong of me to PMSL when I heard Bradford fans were singing, "You're just a town full of pakis!" ? :uhoh: :roflmao:

It'd be equally laughable if Oldham fans sang it. But then we have plenty of fans who lack the intellect or self awareness to realise that. If I'm honest, the abject f*cking stupidity and abusiveness of a sizeable proportion of our "fans" is one of the two reasons I stopped going.

The other being that we had become utterly, despairingly sh*t.  :secret:

Sang with tongue firmly in cheek, I'm sure.

Although I don't condone the words used in that particular chant, football fans don't get enough credit for some of the imaginative and funny things they make up.

Of course for every funny song sang there are a hundred pieces of crap such as the highly original

'your team, is fecking s4it, your team is fecking s4it'

that seems to be doing the rounds and all grounds at the moment.

'Your beach, is a pile of rocks, your beach, is a pile of rocks'

Is a far better use of the tune as sung by Bournemouth fans to Brighton supporters (at least it was many years ago when I last went to a game) and there is a little humour in there too.

On the subject of away days, I see Arsenal get an away day in the FA Cup.

I feel for Sutton United because I imagine they were hoping to draw a big club.

Another top half of the table (we are rebuilding / transition) place for your mob of "once upon a times". Have you hit £0.5b spends for you mediocrity since SAF yet?

:)
