Waylander
Okay from the outset slightly taking the p*ss post I accept that (Google is my friend and all that). parents extension nearly compete and in lieu of them moving back need to source a new 40ish inch smart led tv......and a family sized microwave (ideally sub £100) just utterly sick of hunting for things for the build (even this weekend is sockets, switches and handles shopping) so if anyone has any recommendations (recent buys etc) for a decent tv and microwave (good sized one though) I'd be grateful. their needs are modest in this regard so decent picture quality but say £300 range for tv and sub £100 microwave if you know of anything that fits the bill. obviously if you don't no worries this is more about my sanity than product sourcing
Booster
Jonny Nash has the answer to your question! If he doesn't, LMGTFY will.
Waylander
I bitterly regret flocking their old ones on eBay now. At least then the pressure to sort this before they move back would have been off oh bugger that reminds me - flooring deposit. sigh.....
Waylander
No matter. The OCD in me cast an eye while catching up on Flash with the kids and I think I've seen something that will be okay for them
eldavo69
We have a woman at work who most times she calls me I let it go to answerphone. She usually asks the same question in 3 different ways before answering it and then thanking me for helping her. I then send her a text saying "no problem, let me know if you need anything else"
Waylander
Sure, sure But given the recent excitement with decking washing machines, vacuums and what not I figured a TV might at least be a little more befitting. BTW Booster thanks - your reply provided a much needed timely chuckle
Tipex
I can't recommend a particular model of TV, but I would suggest an LG using the latest version of WebOS you can get for the price, it's by far the simplest smart OS system to use in my experience, once you've downloaded all the relevant apps in to the quick launch bar for them it's very simple.
Waylander
as it happens that was my thoughts too but LG coming in at £360 whereas there are a couple of deals on Samsung ones (none smart) for £280 so will probably get them that
CarMad
Richer Sounds had a Samsung 4k 40" for £360 after Christmas, you are in no mans land for offers at the moment. New models normally filter through in the summer and they want to get rid of the old models around the same time so if you can wait I'd do that or just get the best deal you can now.
Tipex
LG have announced (and shown) their 2017 range at CES, they are due for release imminently, might be some deals coming up soon.

No chance they will survive with no Tv - I have just just under 2 weeks to sort it!
