Inexpensive 40" smart tv?

Okay from the outset slightly taking the p*ss post I accept that (Google is my friend and all that).

parents extension nearly compete and in lieu of them moving back need to source a new 40ish inch smart led tv......and a family sized microwave (ideally sub £100)

just utterly sick of hunting for things for the build (even this weekend is sockets, switches and handles shopping) so if anyone has any recommendations (recent buys etc) for a decent tv and microwave (good sized one though) I'd be grateful.

their needs are modest in this regard so decent picture quality but say £300 range for tv and sub £100 microwave if you know of anything that fits the bill.

obviously if you don't no worries +++

this is more about my sanity than product sourcing :roflmao:

I can't recommend a particular model of TV, but I would suggest an LG using the latest version of WebOS you can get for the price, it's by far the simplest smart OS system to use in my experience, once you've downloaded all the relevant apps in to the quick launch bar for them it's very simple.

Richer Sounds had a Samsung 4k 40" for £360 after Christmas, you are in no mans land for offers at the moment. New models normally filter through in the summer and they want to get rid of the old models around the same time so if you can wait I'd do that or just get the best deal you can now. +++

No chance they will survive with no Tv - I have just just under 2 weeks to sort it!
