Cuprabob
When I was growing up I never followed football or paid any attention to it. Back in the mid 80s I was drinking with a few friends in The Nile Bar in Glasgow and there was an older man sitting at the end of the bar having a quiet drink. I had no idea who he was but my friends seemed to be quite excited about this older unassuming man. To my shame I knew little about the Lisbon Lions and this quiet unassuming man was one of them, Tommy Gemmell. I had the pleasure of having a chat with him and a nicer man I've yet to meet. No aura and certainly no arrogance, just a normal man having a quiet drink. Sadly, he passed away today...RIP Tommy Gemmell: Former Celtic defender and 'Lisbon Lion' dies aged 73 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39139454 Edited March 2, 2017 by Cuprabob
