cruiser647
That is a lovely Rover. I love the P5. Always reminds me of the 79 election with Maggie getting out of it when she got to Downing St. I think they had those old Rovers for ages.
garcon magnifique
Strictly speaking that's a P5B Coupe.

cabby
Not a car wash in sight but an excuse to post pics of a couple of beauts I've seen on my travels recently.
Tipex
SD1 looks just like my old one, only without the massive supercharger and Mad Max style air scoop sticking out of the bonnet. It was like driving a rocket propelled sofa!
Scotty
Dunno why but looking at that picture it's the first time I've ever thought that the SD1 looks old.

E-bmw
Helmet looks similar to Tiff Needell's generic design.

I blame that Needles bloke and his erratic driving style. "My mate" (well, long time internet forum associate and occasional chat in the paddock) is the guy who owns the car, Pete Mallett. If I remember, they did rather better in MM74 than this year, if you ignore Tiff tapping and spinning out the race winning Camaro... It looks slightly more modern in Vitesse trim, I still think it's a nice design but agree, it's showing it's age.

Garçon, would your mate be interested in a lightweight fibre glass boot lid for an SD1? I don't want anything for it, he'd just have to collect it or arrange for it to be collected, it's going to end up at the tip otherwise, I've been hanging on to it because it seems a shame to bin something that could be useful to someone and hard to find these days, if he's doing historic racing he could well be the chap it's meant to be with!
garcon magnifique
I'll ask. I have a feeling it already has one.

Mook
I don't think it matters if it's a kit - still look amazing. As long as it hasn't got a 4 pot Ecotec lump in it
Tipex
Almost certainly a kit, genuine ones are rare and too valuable to ever see on the roads, but as Mook says, so long as it's got a V8, does it matter?

That's a late 70s early 80s Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Like the one in the Bond film 'The Living Daylights'
