Yes, Yes and you can also use it to access the ECUs of many domestic "white" appliances believe it or not! Well, those that run Bosch circuitry.

Found this on an American audi site and it does indeed work - you can download a 100kb emulator patch that allows VAG-COM to 'talk' to a wider range of things.

Setting "5" not browning your toast enough? Change the time delay smile.gif Want your washing machine to use less water? Change it smile.gif Tried this myself, and although I can't think of a way of measuring this without getting wet, I did get a confirmation code and then timed it with a watch and it was filling up for less time smile.gif

I'll go find the link wink.gif

Well is it ?

also does the R32 have the facility to lock the doors after 15mph just like their Audi brethren ????

Yes - I've used mine to set the automatic locking on an R32, as well as enabling priority unlocking and alarm beep.

Depending on the user, but it normally takes me about 30 seconds to a minute....it really is that easy!

You're obviously more practiced than I am. It usually takes me that long just to get the connector plugged in the right way up!

Same for mine! it was my car that Peter tinkered with and we found the Ross Tech info wasn't correct. Peter figured out though as the software is quite good at explaining what's going on. Mine was, however, the same as in the Ross Tech example, which was nice.

Can't remeber wher I got it from exactly but I have a basecode generator which basically you put the current code and select the features you want activating it generates the code to enter....that's why it takes so little time.

Peterb, I am very well practiced in the art of central locking changes for VW's and Audi's grin.gif But it takes me about 30 seconds on my car but that's because the OBD port is in the centre, where as an S8 takes a bit longer.

I suppose it's more like a 5-10 minute job including switching on the laptop and plugging in......oh and you know the job is never done because people will always want you to check other modules and clear faults smashfreakB.gif
