daxtrajero Posted April 21, 2004 Report Share Posted April 21, 2004 coming home tonight I gunned the car onto a motorway... 3rd gear, engine temp normal, approaching 7,000rpm then sudden, violent power loss (as if bouncing off rev limiter) - trouble is this total power loss lasted the whole journey home. When I say power loss I mean so bad I could barely accelerate at all. No instrumentation lights came on at all No mis-firing or other clues, everything normal, just when I pressed throttle nothing or hardly anything happened. Left the car for 2 hours, got back in and everything was back to normal. Tried to repeat the problem and exact same thing happened again. Any ideas anyone ? I'm about to take it into a dealer tomorrow and get to the bottom of it and would like to hear from anyone who's experienced same problem ? -Dax Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
