Prospective new TVR owner

Alright guys nice site, new here!

Had an Evo 7 for a few years as a second car and previously had an Impreza so I thought it would be a laugh if I found out if I could really drive a proper engine-gearbox-wheels type rear wheel drive car instead of a namby pamby driver aided car! So I'm currently looking for a Chimera either in 4.5 or 5.0 form as I am a glutton for punishment. I have a few things I was wanting to ask so here goes...

1.I know TVR don't make a hard top for the Chimera but are there other companies that have made them?

2.Planning to buy a 2-3 year old car. Would it be bad for it if I had it serviced at an non TVR place as there is none even remotely near me?

3.Be doing about 6-8000 miles per year, how many tyres will I go through in that time?

4. Are there any insurance companies that are favourable to TVR owners?

5.What problems should I be looking for when I go looking at cars that are 2-3 years old?

Cheers for any help!

I was only wanting to spend about 25 big ones on this, thought I would get a better Chimera for that price than I would a Tuscan. It is only the very cheapest Tuscans that are about that price!

Also the guy that lives two doors away from me who I get on splendidly with(NOT) has a Tuscan and I wouldn't want to look like I was just getting one cause I'd seen his!

And to be honest the Tuscan is a bit flash lookin' for me!

Cheers guys, being overtaken by smart cars at the moment as I run it in, but the fun will start soon! I had a turbo 2000 years ago and I know there is a much bigger following of the 'classic' shape but to be honest I prefer the new car!
