DVD v PDA Sat Nav systems

But when I get in my wired car I plug the T3 into the mount and it's online within less than a second. I never have any comms problems or have to find the device or turn it on etc etc.

What would be the advantage of the more expensive bluetooth solution. It's not like loosing the cable to the pda makes any difference as it needs power (being realistic) anyway.

Just another opinion. wink.gif

It does make it easier to transfer between cars. My GPS receiver lasts for about 5 hours on a charge so I don't normally plug it in. I just plug the Ipaq into the fag lighter socket and I'm away.

Also, these things can be used by hikers and so on. You clip the GPS receiver to your rucksack or whatever and don't have to worry about garrotting yourself with the wire whilst trying to navigate!
