Just purely out of interest, and to get everyone's experiences in one thread, what has happened with the orders that people have for an A3 S Line!?

I ordered a 2.0TDI S Line on 13th March. Initially I was told the car would be build week 17 (expected delivery early May), then delayed until build week 26 (expected delivery middle of July) and now delayed further until build week 29 (expected delivery early August).

Well, i ordered mine on the 2nd March, was quoted 8-10 weeks and also told by the dealer they had ordered one which they then changed to be my car.

So i expected my car to be here by May and when it didn't turn up i enquired and was told that it would be WK24. So after hearing from Ilyas his had been delayed last week i checked again and guess what, delayed to WK29 but with a guaranteed production slot

Call me a cynical fekr.gif but it sounds like at least four of us on these forums have been told the same thing and all expect our cars to be produced in WK29 now, i think Audi have been having problems sourcing some of the S-Line parts as i can't believe with all the other cars (TT, VW golf etc) using the DSG box that it is this component that is causing the delay

I intend on visiting the dealer in person tomorrow and having a very 'loud' whinge in the showroom, hopefully there will be alot of people there and i may be able to acquire some dealer extras free of charge to calm me down a bit.

However, it would seem there is something to do with the S-Line spec that is causing the delays

Just had another thought, perhaps we should all complain to Audi UK together and see if they offer us some compensation

Ok please can more people that have ordered the S-line and have been given a massive delay reply in this thread...we want a huge backing so that we can write a letter to Audi UK and perhaps get some kinda of freebie..(well thats why i'm in it)

I have a problem when it comes to extras as i have ordered a full votex kit which comes with chrome extensions. Also i get full mats as part of the deal with the leasing company

Are there any other things that we could ask for, body protection, dealer fit extras

I plan on asking a colleague who is comms manager to help me with a letter to Audi UK, i guess we all might have to put our real names and the dealers we ordered from in it though

Yeah i'm fine with putting my name and dealer down...

um..we could ask for a free service?..they usually cost £150 dont they?

what else can i think of....hmm..mudflaps...i kno its not the most obvious thing but apparently they cost £85, and i was already way over budget so i couldnt get these. 4 of those would be excellent!

reply with thoughts...

ps hows the letter coming along?

i cant believe it!..When i ordered the S-line in March, I had the option of a delivery date as early as the middle of May..that would've been great except i had exams , and still do...so i decided to leave it till after my exams, June 30th. For some reason i think i'm paying for it now with the extra 3 week delay frown.giffekr.gif

They can't all be delayed as I've just been down to Leicester Audi and seen a VERY nice avus A3 Tdi DSG with the two tone cream/light yellow cloth and black leather combo.

It was missing the spoiler but I was told that it was ordered a week before the spolier was added.

Car looked fantastic! Interior superb. I was waiting for the A4 coupe but I am now seriously thinking of an A3 2.0T Quattro DSG (if they do DSG in that model at launch).

I agree, 5 months for a car quoted as 8-10 weeks is ridiculous, for gods sake its not an M3, Porsche or something else exclusive really

If we let them get away with it without complaining then we are the fools, my colleague is away on Business, i will ask him to help me draft a letter when he gets back on Monday

I'm really pissed off...been waiting 4 months for my car....thats 17 weeks!!!And now i have to wait 1 more month almost...a total of 21 weeks. I sware the expected delivery is 10 - 12 weeks..so its taken twice as long. Looking forward to complaining to them. Still negotiating with my stealer for a hire car since they've screwed me around so much!

ahhhhh why does having to buy a car get so hard. I'm so bored without it that i've decided to invest in a nice Sony DSC-W! digi cam...hopefully that will keep me satisfied for a month!

i'm only 18 so prob not as good at english as you

Your English at 18 is probably as good as it will ever be , and probably better than many who are much older!

What size of deposit have you guys put down?

10 weeks into 5 months is a very big delay - is the deposit refundable if you decided to buy something else instead? (not suggesting you should but it might give the stealer some extra aggro).

Retail therapy? Good idea.

I do feel you ya though... must be so frustrating, especailly as you work your way closer to the delivery date, and then it moves again. Talk about dangling the carrot on a stick!

Oh, and £500 deposit here too.
