RobK
I ordered it on March 4th so that'll be about 16 weeks by the time it arrives.
Orbit
Thats almost the identical date i ordered mine, as i beat the price rises on 5th March. Mine has been delayed to a WK29 build date. Is yours a diesel or a 3.2? Been busy with work but i am still planning on complaining to Audi UK later this week, as i think it is completely unacceptable to take so long in delivering a car, without even the dealer letting you know what is going on. ilyas
would you mind putting my name aswell at the bottom of the letter..as an unsatisfied customer. I ordered the car on March 6th, but build week 29. This is ridiculous. I dont understand how 1 or 2 days can mean a 4 week delivery date difference. Takes the piss. gremlin
I know I was the chap who initiated this post, but after a chat with Audi UK about 10 minutes ago, they have confirmed that my car was built yesterday! So the delay to week 29 was incorrect. Just as a point to check Ilyas, I placed my order at the dealership on 13th March, and Audi UK have just told me they received it on 23rd March. Not sure whether you could check this with yours and see when Audi UK actually got your order, just incase the dealership were slow off the mark. If that is the case, you obviously have another bargaining tool when it comes to getting a courtesy car or any extras!
Orbit
Gremlin, who told you that your car was build week 29, was it your dealer? If so it sounds like the dealer either doesn't know when the car will be built, doesn't really bother to check or its Audi UK that doesn't know. All in all, i am pretty fed up with all the delays and also the fact that i seem to have to chase someone to find out what the hell is going on. I hope your car does turn up early for you, but i still plan on writing a letter to the corporate comms manager of Audi UK with a complaint
gremlin
It was the dealer who told me last week, though when I spoke to the sales manager there this morning, he didn't know why I had been told that. So I checked with Audi UK. I always thought the salesman I ended up with was a complete prat!

ilyas
Orbit, phone up your dealer again and find out if the delivery date has changed. You never know, i phoned my phone up and he was like yeah its coming on week 26 and you should have it within 10 days after that. Brilliant I said, but then it was followed with the, "but i've had cars which were meant to be delivered on week 24 and still havent been delivered". Any idea how many shipments take place a week?or is it like once every 2 weeks? Man, i want my car sooo bad rite when i finish skl next week tuesday, wanna be cruisin around gettin all the looks! ye ye, free spoiler aswell, well chuffed! mite ask the dealer to put on a chrome exhaust...we'll c if i have the money!:S

cheechy
Sorry mate can't help you. I believe my car has already been built but is sitting in a compound just now waiting for the dealer to call it to the dealership at the correct time. I'm being VERY patient and waiting until the 1st September to get the car....... .....and therefore am attending car councelling to overcome the mental torture
Orbit
Not going to chase them, as i am fed up of all the BS they give me, just making a note of everything and plan on putting it all in the letter to Audi UK
ilyas
I feel really bad for you man..but i would check just incase with ure dealer or Audi UK and see where your car is..because it the delivery date may have changed. Like my dealer didnt even bother telling me it changed, (which pisses me off) but i regularly piss him off and hassle him so i just called up again and asked him for an update on the car (+ also to confirm the spoiler and upgraded bose) and he delighted me with the news that the delivery date had changed. It was great news. Audi dont really care once they have ure money but its worth just checking with them before you send off the letter. I suppose i might just send one off anyway just to tell them how poor their service is, with me having to wait almost 5 months, but nothing too harsh as i'm gettin my car next week or the week after. If the car doesnt come in the next 2 weeks then i'm all for writing a length letter to Audi. I feel really bad for you and totaly understand that your fed up, trust me I am too, and i have my exams to worry about. But it was a great relief when my dealer said it was "awaiting shipment". My dealer also told me he would call me next week to give me a registration number..but i have a feeling i'm the one thats gonna be calling them up on the monday morning. Good luck with everything. slimbloke
Had an unprompted call from my leasing company today (2 inside a week!) to assure me that the car is still on time for delivery at the end of the month (9 weeks from order) and that it's being built either this or next week. What with getting married this weekend, moving house (exchanged today), having s**t loads of work to do + today's tube strike AND getting a new car... I think I deserve some good luck after my stress levels are peaking this month!
Simonl
I got married inbetween my order and delivery dates. I can feel your stress. Good luck. You'll love "the big day", it rocks... (especailly when you drive off the forecourt)

slimbloke
he-he... my new wife is going to be an Audi Widow, cos I'll be off scooting around b-roads all the time Actually, fair cop to her, she loves speed and near-death experiences as much as I do, but enough of our bedroom antics My puma appears in Fast Ford magazine for sale on the 4th, so hopefully I won't have too much of an overlap.
