Fredde
Hi there! Just found this forum! Im very happy to see that there are so many users here discussing A8/S8. I'm almost the only one here in Sweden who's doing things to my car. It gets lonely sometimes... =) I browsed through some of the pages here and saw that Sven already had posted pics of my car in some thread... But here's some more... The page is in swedish, sorry. Just click on the thumbnails to see a larger version. I'm sure you'll figure it out http://www.garaget.org/show.php?car=1351 Please tell me what you think about it! And feel free to ask anything. // Freddy from Sweden.

Understand that it's another word for the car, but where does it come from? mother? / Fredde

Sven
Hey Fredde, welcome to TSN! Small world... as you have seen I quite like your car! Love what you have done to it, although I think I wouldn't have the courage to take the airbrush to my car. But I do like it. I can imagine how you felt, can you imagine at one time I was the only regular (S)8 driver here? But now it has grown into a lively little community! So again, welcome, good to have you aboard! Some questions: it seems your car is lowered, what have you used, and how is the ride? And what are those wheels? Have you done any engine mods? (I see the exhaust isn't stock). And yes, these crazy Brits have many weird expressions, a.o. they call a car a 'motor/mota'. But you'll get used to that, I did...

Fredde
Hi Sven! I'm glad that you like my car! It's not airbrush, just plain old stickers. But they are gone now. I just had them on for two show's here in sweden (Stockholm Motorshow and Bilsport Performance Show), because the car was in the booth of zatzy.com, the largest street racing community in scandinavia (which i run togehther with 2 friends). You have to excuse my writing. Sometimes i find it hard to express myself in english... hope you understand what i mean. The car is lowered with springs only. The're from Eibach, but after mounting them, the car was way too high in the front, so I sent them to a guy who shortened the front springs even more...the ride is OK, i'm used to it now... The rims are Antera 309, 8.5*20" with Yokohama AVS Sport 255/35/20. I'm looking for new ones at the moment, after an unpleasent encounter with a pavement... :-) I would like to have BBS LM or maybe theese AEZ Forge: http://www.oclbrorssons.se/cgi-bin/evoweb.dll/wheels.62CBDC716114844?form=web_framecontent&page=2442&action=show&designid=830 Not much done to the engine. Chip that promises 20 extra hp. Handmade stainless exhaust with cats from RS4, and i installed a K&N filter about 15 minutes ago :-) // Fredde
A8_Tony
The car looks superb Fredde....I liked the Antera's too, not so sure about your new choice, it'll be interesting to see what they look like
Sven
Hi again Fredde, Your English is fine, don't worry. I'm Dutch BTW, so it's not my first language as well. Shame about the Antera's, I really like them. I think the combination of the alu center with the polished rim looks special. I'm not entirely convinced yet by the AEZ, but maybe you have to see them on the car. Examples of BBS wheels you can see on the 'Epic S8'. I was told (by Eibach) they didn't do springs for the S8, only A8. But maybe that's why they were too high? As you say "I'm used to it" I presume they are quite firm, compared to the S8 setup? Fredde
My Antera's are problably swedens most wrecked 20's right now :-) They are quite common here on cars like S8, Bmw 7's and some mercedes.. I want something else, but im gonna wait til next season. I've also been told many times that things aren't made for S8, and that stuff doesn't exist.. but i have the springs on my car, so i know they exist :-) But you are probably right that they are for a8 4.2... The handling now is like going over the atlantic in a canoe, as where the standard s8 setup is like going on a luxury cruise cruiser :-) I feel every cigarette bum i run over...hehe, but the handling has improved a lot! I've tested the car on track and it was very amusing! This is a picture of me chasing a subaru that refused to move! //Fredde

PaulW
Your car is awesome....pictures have been posted at audiworld.com many of times....I just need a driver's side original S8 aluminum mirror cap to complete my look....already have the passenger side.
