Does anyone know or can they guide me how to remove the panel at the rears where the speakers are fitted to? Or is there an easy way to remove this speaker? Just need to have a look at it as the speaker behind the drivers side has developed a slight fart..

Thx

Tony,

If i'm not mistaken its a piece of piss. Don't quote me but it should pretty much lift out. You need to take out the little 1/3 rear seat first (if thats the side its on) and then I think its largely held in place by two metal clips by the window - be careful with these.

I can't remember exactly, so to be sure so you might want to wait for someone with some sense to answer 169144-ok.gif

There are quite a few posts around on this so suggest a search to back up my poor memory.

I removed one of mine and it wasn't too bad. Open the rear window first and pull up the rubber trim/seal to clear to top of the panel. Remove the seat squab (push together the springy metal wires and it comes out) then fold down the seat back. Take out the trim along the door sill as this plugs into the end of the panel.

Then loosen the bottom of the panel and then there are some tough metal clips along the door side. The top is held in place by tough metal clips - these are best popped by pulling straight out from the edge cleared by removing the window rubber - don't lever from the bottom of the panel as it's flimsy and may crack (my local sextons did this for me and it cost them £450 for the new panel). The clips are pretty strong but should come away cleanly with a firm pull - it did involve some bad language for me :-). One of my clips remained in the bodywork, but stuck it back onto the panel with a glue gun which worked very well.

Good luck, but as I said do a search first as my memory may not be serving me well on the finer detail.
