Chrisg
RSD supply the Oettinger230 conversion on the 190 engines for appro £2000 incl tax but it does not include a turbo; only ecu, inlet pipe ( good for about7bhp)and injectors (225 S3/TT versions - don't know the cc capacities ?) Not sure if the extra 15 bhp is worth the £1400 ;£100 per horsepower Need standard, 215, 230 lined up together and try them out back to back
HybridDNA
When they re-map the ECU I'm prosuming that they are increasing the boost via the ECU and the boost control valve fitted in the pipe going to the acuater along with spark igition and fuel mapping do you know what boost they take it to in order to achive this power gain? Belchy
Thanks for all this info people All I have to do now is make my mind up whether to go Oettinger, AMD or APR At the mo' I'm leaning toward APR as it seems the best combination of power with the smoothest torque curve, but only time will tell
GaryM
I had my Revo'd 180bhp Golf GTI on the rollers at JBS a few weeks ago. Full specs here www.gmort.co.uk/modifications.htm www.gmort.co.uk/rollingroad.htm
DuncS3
Gary what fuel are you running? I have REVO and there is no way I could run H9 T9 without it pulling back on the road, let alone the rollers. Dunc
richa3turbo
[ QUOTE ] The Formula Palmer Audi engines produce about 300 bhp, only two reported failures, ever. A missed gearchange and a selected 1st instead of 3rd These are race engines. Sorry I do not believe that you can get 300+bhp for road use with a chip and turbo, otherwise everybody would have been doing it years ago. Show me basically similar figures from several rolling roads or engine dynos and ....... I may be prepared to believe but at the present, as far as I'm concerned, they are bar figures. Frodo the 190 engines have a KO3s turbo [KO3 turbine with KO4 impeller] ( think that's the right way round) and twin intercoolers. I think this is what gives it the extra 10bhp over the 180 engine [/ QUOTE ] heres your proof
