Went to the office today to collect my job sheets, car stock and a car to travel about in for the rest of the week whilest contracting for them....

I was amazed to find a brand spanking new (<500miles) Vw Bora 1.6 petrol. 54 reg grin.gif

Good points...

Very comfortable and a good motorway car

Sound system as good as R32 system mad.gif

Good mpg with the lowest of the day around 38mpg - highest 40mpg

Seats are comfortable

Good visibility

Solid build quality with no rattles, but im sure rattles will appear in the future

bad points

the gearbox is so clunky and sometimes it wouldnt go into gear

i managed to get the cluth to smell of poo poo when coming out of halifax on the big hill towards the M62 shocked.gif

wobbly suspension

rock solid steering wheel with no comfort

no cup holders shocked.gif

no cd

Its a nice car overall and think its very eco-friendly.

grin.gif I've got to say I too was quite happy with the VW Bora (TDi Sport 130 on a 54 plate) the garage lent me after I handed over the R32 169144-ok.gif Plenty of uuumph, comfortable and even with the nuts driven off it, was still showing 40+ mpg shocked.gif

ahhh, I remember the luxury like it was only yesterday....power steering, elec windows, climate control... tongue.gif
