Not sure if there is already a review for this (couldn't be bothered to search).

I got one for Christmas, I love the thing its excellent. We have been doing a lot of house hunting in an area we don't know, so its really come in handy. Some roads, admittingly not all, even allow you to enter the house number and it actually navigates you to the front door.

The Tom Tom software is basically the same as Tom Tom Navigator 3 for the PDA. Very easy to use and has a touch screen. You can also add custom points of interest (POI) for anything you like and they are available to download free from the web. This includes all the speed cameras. You can set an alarm to sound when you coem within a the configured distance of the POI entry.

I have had 1 problem with it and that was the time it took to get a gps lock and then to hold the lock. A software upgrade appears to fixed that problem, although I am told it is improved even further by adding the external aerial. I don't want to do this because its £50 and I like the fact the unit is one compact portable unit. Now I have added the software upgrade the gps lock has been fine.

It does sometime sget confused and put you on the wrong road, but it is only occassional. By using the sound directions (internal speaker has plenty of volume too) and the display itself its easy to keep an eye on exactly where you are and what the next instruction will be, i.e. if you have a roundabout approaching.

All in all, its a sat nav unit I would totally recommend to anyone.
