Snail
Drove past a punto this morning, with "6 speed" badges on it??? WTF???? It wasn't even the sporty abarth jobbie, now how can a punto warrant 6 speeds?
Ritey
More info here New Punto I reckon that you'd be constantly changing gears and would need a new clutch far too soon with it being available on a 1.1i
RossG
My old Punto Sporting, 2000 on a 'W' was a 1.2 with a 6 speed box. To be honest, it complemented the car, and endowed it with acceleration that could stay with Saxo VTRs and Fiesta Zetec-Ss. Didnt even notice that I had to change gear all that often - 6th really was just for cruising on the motorway. Neede 4th or 5th for any sort of progress to be made Loved that car though. Wasn't the fastest, but I had loads of fun with it, and it was a great looking little car
Sipperana
Fiat seem to like putting 6-speeds on smaller engines, the Stilo 1.2 has a 6 box. That's if they're still selling it, I can't see much call for a tiny engine in a car that size with a gearstick you can't leave alone.
