Paul
nothing to do with your car, its to do with your LEAD. if its an official vagcom lead the names will make sense. then its just a choise of usb or serial. if its a compliant lead made by someone else then i am pretty sure you need one of the archive older copies. Paul
first link your need the archive old version. "Compatiable with VAG-COM Release 409.1" second link your need the Key USB software and can download the latest version. Any questions sk is a member CLICK HERE now im not sure what interface the S4 uses, May be best to have a chat with ScoTTy (who i know has vagcom for his S4), or sk. the newer Audi's have a different communications protocol and use CANBUS. my vagcom lead is a CANBUS lead and reverse compatible with older OBD II cars. SO more future proof, than a straight OBD II lead. worth considering before purchase if your likely to carry on in the Audi range for future cars. dq1
You need version 311.2n to work with a 3rd party lead like that. Oh by the way you can get the same lead for £30 on ebay (thats where I got mine)!!

dq1
[ QUOTE ] I might do that alarm beep soon and maybe the doors locking at 10-15mph (?) C [/ QUOTE ] That's surprisingly easy to do, took me 5 mins!!! There's a link somehwere on this forum to download an app that converts a code you get off Vag-com. The converted code is entered into Vag-com and there's you're new setting! I know it's a bit vague but can't remember details as I've only done it the once!
