Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] You may be right about the paint seal cream Avus but they do supply a goodie bag that contains iirc the SRP. BTW None of those zymol products you mention will have any effect on removing or protecting against swirls so it must be your excellent wash tecnique that has assist you!! Yes zymol can be used to top a sealant as your wax (carbon) is not a cleaner wax unlike the cheap stuff they sell in Halfords. Ps P21s will give you the same results as zymol at half the price, but thats for another thread!! ;-) [/ QUOTE ] Thank you Brazo. I'm under no illusion that the Zymol wont offer any great protection. But it does give a great shine I've had it for over two years now and I'm sure I'll get a couple more out of it....Maybe some P21s next time then? I'm a strong believer that prevention is better than cure. So I'm very very particular about washing the car - Blast off first Two sponges and a mitt Oh and I wash it naked at midnight too , Pi*** the neighbours off but the car looks fantastic Supagard supply "PaintSeal Cream" [ QUOTE ] Specially formulated for vehicles treated with Supagard paint sealant. Gives paintwork an extra shine and helps to remove stubborn blemishes. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like a bit of Bull But what do I know? BUB

apreading
Wear microfibre clothes in future - that way you can just slide all over it to dry/wax it...!

cleanimage
Just by chance we have a rep from one of the large companies in at the moment... topic of conversation? The damage to the brand that monkeys selling on eBay are doing! Anyway, LifeShine is so tough that you can use SRP over the top of it (if the sealant was applied correctly) and the mild abrasive won't touch it... which should give you an idea of the difference between a wax and a sealant. Supagard comes with it's own wax... if you are going to apply it, treat it like its Zymol, one panel at a time, the stuff is a bugger to use, very hard work. But we have found that it's not actually needed... Supagard will last the 3 years without it. But if you want to abide by the terms of the warrantee you have to do what they say, either using the addatives or avoiding waxing over the top. All sealants are strong enout to take a wax over the top but no company except AutoGlym advises it... JewelUltra actually sell a product very much like SRP which will go over Diamondbrite, but they don't tell you unless you ask. My advice is to steer clear of sealants like this, if you want a sealant that you can get a super shine with and keep adding too, then do a google on a range or products by Zaino Bros. These are hard work and tricky to get results with, but by far the best range of products on the market. http://www.zainostore.com/
Brazo
I keep meaning to try Zaino but have UPP.FMJ, Klasse and 1z glanz to get through first!!!

[/ QUOTE ] Mmmmmmmm Sounds kinky - Might give it a try [ QUOTE ] Just by chance we have a rep from one of the large companies in at the moment... topic of conversation? [/ QUOTE ] That's fair enough but what about the damage the dealers are doing by employing Chimpanzees to "professionally apply" their products? Not good [ QUOTE ] All sealants are strong enout to take a wax over the top but no company except AutoGlym advises it... But for a fiver it's very tempting Cheers BUB
runflat
Cheers for the advice on my original question. I got myself kitted up at the weekend with a clay bar, some Megs NXT wash and Tech wax and a family pack of foam applicators. Had a great day today. Wow that NXT stuff smells Goooood.
