a3sport
Hi guys, in the last week or so when i have been driving my tt i have noticed the needle sticking at approx. 3k revs. If I take it to 4 grand and then change gear the the needle does not come down smoothly but kind of sticks in between 2k and 3k revs for a couple of seconds. Any ideas as to what the problem could be? Thanks in advance
danksy
Could be the instrument cluster on the way out! It's a relatively common problem on TT's.
shao_khan
My Rev coutner needle did that on its first and 5th dash pods. The other 9 all had different problems......
a3sport
your "other 9" that doesnt sound good. So what happens, does the dash eventually pack up? how much is a replacement? Thanks for the replies so far.
danksy
Sorry to say that the replacement clusters aren't cheap. I seem to remember about £600?!? Shao Khan can no doubt elaborate!
shao_khan
THe problem I had was that they kept replacing faulty dash pods with reconditioned parts, so each one develped different faults. My second TT didnt have a single issue and covered more miles, I think perhaps it may have been just bad luck? They are very expensive - £450 ish maybe more.
