Insurance Jon
just got back stayed at 2 hotels. 1st Sunrise Island Gardens - don't do it it's poo 2nd Sunrise Island White Knight - amazing just get the best you can afford as their star ratings don't gell with UK standards very well. The above were both 5* but worlds apart. The Hiltons are quite good too.

Insurance Jon
Yes! Maxim Plaza Gardens = shite, bad drains, crap staff, but nice pool and slides Maxim Plaza White Knite = Great, own beach, foods moderate, but service and facilities are great. Are you sure you still want to go after the bomobs today?

Insurance Jon
I was sat in that pizzeria a couple of weeks ago. The things to consider are that Narma is where you go for a night out, there is feck all else near by, your in the desert. The food in all these all inclusive resorts is a bit mundane (and usually a bit salty too) so you crave the normal stuff you would get in town. The good thing is the maxim hotels are about 15 mins from narma next to (and yes you can here the planes) the airport. The chances of them being attacked it minimal as there is nothing round them. On the upside you will probably get a big chunk of discount. Unluckily my mates booked yesterday.
fatcat
I went to Sharm back in 1982 when it was part of Israel, no hotels no development and barely the odd road, we just slept in Narma bay as everyone else did. I would not want to go back, as I would prefer the way it 'was' & not because of yesterdays bombings. May the bombers burn in hell.
