Pincher
[ QUOTE ] that looks very nice, what did you make of it ? [/ QUOTE ] Really enjoyed it. It didn't seem to have the inital punch of my LC, which I put down to the lack of turbo - delivery was smoother and more progressive. The salesman was encouraging me to wind it up but as it was a busy Croydon on a Sunday lunchtime, in a unfamiliar car, I didn't go too mad. He did take me through a deserted trading estate with plenty of buildings to reverberate off and we wound the windows down as I floored it - the noise was fabulous . Gearbox was fairly notchy, but is has done under 7000 miles, which is very low for a car coming up to its second birthday. Interior was most definitely a step above the LC and the seats were very comfy. Enough room in the back for the rugrats - I have decided that for now, 5 doors is probably the most sensible way to go. I think they more lose a bit more money over the 3 door but I have to consider my/our needs at this moment in time. It seems to tick all the boxes for me - just need to sort out a deal. The dealer needs to shift a bit on price before I will bite. Not sure whether the fact that the salesman said they have had it a month is a god or bad thing. He said they have sold it 3 times, but twice the purchaser couln't get finance and the other time, they couldn't get insurance. Have left it open at the moment and will let the Dealer chase me. I told him that I had a 3-door in DBP and a 3.2 DSG A3 to test drive next weekend (I don't), so we will have to see how much he wants to sell - I wonder if they get penalised on used cars being in stock more than a month????? N3WOB
The indigo blue looks great, for such a rare colour there's a fair few f/s at the moment - if only one with the right spec, condition & mileage was available

Never use a sunroof or cruise and I haven't ever had SatNav to be in a position to miss it.

Mook
That's a stock exhaust on the indigo blue R. Stupidly clean, but if the car's only done 7K miles, I would guess that the previous owner has kept it in very good condition. Pincher - the R is very different to drive to a turbo'd car - as long as you keep it wound beyond 4000 rpm, it just keeps going. Have fun
FiftyPence
Its easy to keep the tailpipes clean, heres how: 1) Keep your R garaged for 12 months ie never drive it 2) Clean the pipes with Fairy Power Spray

Mook
[ QUOTE ] yours would be after the AmD Stage 4 [/ QUOTE ] No, no, no... I disable this when I park next to an R in a colour other than deep blue pearl. Just remove the cams and cold air intake, remove the ECU, plug in and overwrite the remap and replace the Milltek exhaust and cats with the standard ones. It's called the "OneBleedinLongJob", as opposed to the AmD "OneClick" And it's still quicker... But what happens when you add a supercharger..? jonnywilk
Just don't park next to a porsche, ferrari, tvr then let's see what difference the colour makes
Mook
Hmmm. You've not been out in the AmD Supercharged R32 then. Serious upgrade. Will be writing a review over the weekend. Never seen a Ferrari or TVR in blue though. Maybe they're faster as well...
