Thorburn
Gotta say it doesn't really bother me, I don't even look for them and I don't tend to tailgate people anyway. I can see the reason for them though.

Ari
[ QUOTE ] The story goes, lady with a baby in the car in a baby seat, has a crash, baby and seat are ejected from the car, emergency services turn up, find lady, take her in a comertosed(sp?) state to hospital, dont know there's a baby in a child seat in the bush's, only find the baby at a later time when area is searched, baby is dead due to lack of attention at an early enough time after the accedent. The point is, they didn't know there was a baby in the car at the time so it died. [/ QUOTE ] Popular tale, just not actually true (think about it, how does an attached babyseat leave the inside of a car?) SNOPES: Debugging the urban myths [ QUOTE ] I have mine at the side of the screen and only when my Boy is in the car. Hard to believe but I take it out when he's not in there. AND when I had a Passat Estate, I had it on a side window so it didn't obsure my view. [/ QUOTE ] Thats great, but no one else does, and there is no possible way that the emergancy services can tell that you are the one lone crusader who actually removes his when infant not on board. I'll guarantee that at least 95% of people with these stickers do not remove them when no child on board, inded a lot of these stickers you can't remove. So from the emergancy services point of view, they're completely meaningless. [ QUOTE ] Why do you lot let this things wind you up so much when there are more disturbing things on the road like R1ce buckets and untaxed/unMOT'd cars? [/ QUOTE ] Not wound up about it, the original post was about irony of the driver who plasters the back of his/her car with them, presumably in the name of "road safety", inadvertantly partially obscuring the third brake light and rearward visibility, which gave me a wry smile yesterday. Do also find the sheer pointlessness of them slightly amusing too though I must admit.
DaddyDub
Ari you are (older? and) much wiser than me so I will leave it here. I can see what you were getting at in the first post and agree with you.

Milo
You can't see my Baby on Board sticker as it's hidden by my No Fear one Personally, while I wouldn't have a BoB sticker in my car, I don't see the problem with them. Ari's point was a valid one in that the one he saw was obscuring the driver's view. But I bet there's at least one person on here who has sticker from Milltech, AMD or something similar (maybe even Max Power ). The mums driving their cars probably don't have a radge when they see it going "look at that stupid fecker - like it makes any difference you've had a fancy exhaust fitted. It wasn't as if I was going to race you before and seeing your sticker hasn't made me want to race you now" etc etc etc.
