1) Engine is the same.

2) Handling, I think this will be the only advance the MkII R32 will make. I believe the chassis is a gem having driven but a MkV GTi for a good few days & also a bog standard 1.4, I felt it very nimble down the lanes. It's the looks. Even beer gogles don't help.

I have no doubt it will be a fine (if heavy) car. The mk5 chassis and structure is in a different class to the mk 4 bike.thumb.gif

Have to say that I hate the 18'' multi spokes on the mk5 smashfreakB.gif Just don't work for me...

I cant say a review by any journalist would influence me to buy a particular car. How many times has a car been slated at release only for opinions to change down the line? Evo admitted getting the Focus RS all wrong when it came out. Didnt Clarkson pick the Alfa GTA over the R32 in the group test couple years back?
