Botang
Looks like a fuel problem, possibly air or water in the diesel, or bio diesel was even suggested.

[/ QUOTE ] unlikely to be your problem but a mate told me oil companies have now taken the lubricant out of red diesel because it's not meant to be for road use, apparantly a number of dodgy motorists were using red at 50ppl instead of 97ppl like the rest of us cars like the BMW X5 and the A8 are designed with this lubricant in mind, without it the fuel pump goes bang with a 4k bill to fix it. nasti
Hi again dudes, thanks about your replays! 1st sorry for my bad english, but I study english from 3 months. 2nd. I omit the detail that I live in Bulgaria - here we have problem with the fuels - every f*ckin gas station make some shits with the oils... My car is newly imported from Germany and may be need some changes in the software for our oils... Thanks to all of you about the replays... I want to ask you something more - what you think about 2.5TDI engine. cruiser647
Hi Nasti! That is a fine engine. It was used over in the UK in the previous generation A4, A6's (inc Allroad). Also in the VW Passat and Tourag. Audi never brought it over to the UK. I am sure it would have sold well if they did. I hope you enjoy driving it. Is it a quattro and auto/tip or manual? Presume it is the 180 BHP model??? Good luck with finding some suitable quality fuel for it. Your English is fine, I am sure it is better than ALL of our Bulgarian put together! nasti
Thank you cruiser647! The car is Quattro with tiptronic transmission 150BHP engine. Today in the garage (VAG sertified) put the turbo charger down. I have a problem with the geometry of the turbo charger... tomorrow I will go to take the car in perfect condition with new engine oil and filters

thebiggestdave
[sO YOU THINK THE LIKE'S OF A CAT DUMP TRUCK COSTING ANYTHING UP TO £1000000 EACH FOR THE BIG ONE'S AND USING GAS OIL (RED DIESEL TO YOU)WILL HAVE HAD SOMETHING TAKEN OUT OF THE FUEL THAT WILL CAUSE THEM PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINES DONT THINK SO FOOL! ITS GOT A BIT OF HARMLESS DYE 3 OTHER CHEMICALS ADDED FOR CUSTOMS AND EXCISE TO IDENTIFY IT BEYOND DOUBT AND LESS DETERGENT A LITTLE LEARNING IS A DANGEROUS THING Looks like a fuel problem, possibly air or water in the diesel, or bio diesel was even suggested. harpersimon
Dave - chill - all suggestions welcome no matter how cooky they may sound!! Factually, Red Diesel Does have less lubricant added, and also has less detergent chemicals added. Hence being lower cost to use in heating systems, construction and agriculture. The fuel company doesn't spead as much producing it, and there is no duty added to DERV. the Dye as has been pointed out is just to the HM C and E can tell if are running it in your taxable classed vehicle - and they will hang you out if you are running it on the road in something that's not supposed to have it. I would like to know where it is 97pence though!? :-)
