I would prefer the look if they were either a central close twin or single outside 'wheelbarrow' style. What VW have done looks neither one thing or the other aesthetically. [/ QUOTE ] You think VW put that much thought into their exhaust (or whoever made it for VW. As the R32 is running 4MO, the surely they'll need a transverse mounted rear box like before, so my guress is that its to keep in with the 'almost' centre pipes look. The fact being that underneath the R32 the pipes join after the cat and run a single pipe to back box (on MKIV anyway, so why change for MKV). All in it looks horrid!!! [/ QUOTE ] Nothing to do with that at all, it's just a design thing as it seems centre exhausts are "in" at the moment. The MKV uses pretty much the same engine as the MKIV which has exhausts either side. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
