Mook
[ QUOTE ] One of mines is blown and im fecked if I can get my hand in there to get the bulb out. [/ QUOTE ] Doc, if it is on the driver's side (assuming you have a left hand drive car in Switzerland) then if you remove the battery cover, as well as removing the torx screws holding the top of the headlight unit, then you can tilt the unit forward far enough to slip your hand in. You have to do this blind, and just use two fingers to pull the wires that go into the back of the bulb holder. It will come out OK. If it is the passenger side, then again just remove the torx screws holding the headlight unit in and do the same. Putting the bulb back in again on either side is again a case of doing it blind, but it is easy when you have done it once. Honest HTH
Dr_Watson
Thanks! I will give it a bash soon. Doesn't sound to bad after all. What type of fitting is it, twist, push, bayonet fitting. Its the driver side LHD model infront of the battery. You just pull the wires, no need to hold the bulb holder itself. Cheers Iain
Mook
The bulb holder is just pushed in, so you can just pull the holder out by the wires. Once you've got it out, the bulb itself is an offset H6W with a bayonet fitting. Just twist the bulb anti-clockwise to release it. Best of luck
Dr_Watson
Great info, saves me messing about too much. My g/f polo was easy, loads of space, a simple H7 bulb. Her previous clio was a nightmare. I presume the H6W just has 2 spade connectors on the back that I can pull. I will give it a bash soon. My hands are small, I can get on in without loosening the headlight...although Im not sure if I should be boasting about that!
