fjfr
Think it was a corvette, might have been a chevreolet. Anyways, tried to get a pic, but it drove off. A big red thing, looked like a convertible and looked like
sayerbloke
Ford make the Thunderbird. Chevrolet make the Corvette.
fjfr
It said 'thunderbird' in horrible american italic chrome down the side. It was as big as a bently arnage, had headlights from a bug eyed scooby, was bright red, looked like it had a hardtop over a convertible roof, was driven by a 30year old bloke in a suit, had twin pipes, was a 55 plate. And no. I wasn't it really existed!!
RossG
Sounds like a new Ford Thunderbird: And I really quite like them

sayerbloke
Ah, that`s ok then. Agreed, the new Thunderbird looks awful. Corvettes on the other hand... It`s painful that these days they`re badged up the same way as the new Matiz, etc
fjfr
[ QUOTE ] the new Matiz [/ QUOTE ] It's a typical chevy that. I can SO see a texan & his 10gallon hat hitting route 66 to escape into the desert. Yup. 'Bullet', 'Startsky & Hutch' & 'Vanishing Point' should have all used that man's car.. The CHEVY Matiz! What was wrong with DAEWOO?! Corvettes are butch.. the sound
MOSE
The INternet Car SHowroom on the M3 (Hartley Witney area) has one on the forecourt and it doesnt really say a lot for itself, and it was up for about £30k if I remember rightly. Also in red...
cruiser647
Funnily enough, I don't think it sold too well. Bring back Frank Cannon's old Thunderbird (Uncle Buck had one too) with the spare wheel on the end of the boot! And lights under a protective plate!
