RCUK
Just doing some final checks before i order this weekend - is it worth getting heated seats on cloth seats. I can see the benefit on leather, but on cloth??? Was looking at the winter pack and was wondering how useful it would be as ive never had washer jets freeze and never thought 'wow these cloth seats are cold'
mu71rd
well that was my thought too. seems a little over the top to me to have bloody heated washer jets. think of all that extra weight over the front wheels too
simkna
Heated seats are fab - cloth or no cloth. I don't have heated washer jets, but have lost count of the number of times I've been unable to see out of my screen on the motorway in the winter because my washers have frozen up. Si. lagrian
I maybe biased as I have both but I agree with Si, heated seats are a nice to have however not essential. But the heated washer jets are very useful, they proved that to me this morning as I got covered in muck from a lorry and could clear it. I think the winter pack is a must have for the UK
NigOws
I've had leather and heated in previous car, but decided on cloth and heated seats on the GTI - used them this week and they are nice. However, not essential!! Agree with lagrian, the winter pack ius a must have, as the heated jets are great.

Snoopy
Imho it depends on the make and model of car IF heated washer jets are needed. For example my mk1 in 15 years i have NEVER had the washer jets freeze and we have had some real harsh winters in the far north east of england in that time, My ibiza was the same never froze the washer jets. BUT my dad has had Audis for about 20 years and most of them have had problems with the washer jets freezing. But then again when have we ever had winters like they use to be? I wait and see if heated washer jets are needed on a MK5 golf in other words i wait to see how good or how bad the standard design is. Heated seats is a lux item on cloth i have never felt the real need myself. But it is nice if you have just come out the house to have a warm cloth seat in seconds. RCUK
Not a fan of leather seats - slide to much when cornering hard. Cloth holds you in a lot more. If i hard leather in the integra id have had countless mishaps!
DB6Vantage
You don't slide much on the GTi seats probably, since they hold you well, but IMO the VW leather looks and feels rather cheap and fake. I have leather in all my other cars, but really didn't like the one on the GTi. But its just my opinion!
R32North
Look outside! see the frost, ice and general artic conditions! I have heated cloth seats and its a God send! If they're option on a cra regardless of leather I'll be having them in all future cars. I love 'em, plus they warm you up a lot quicker than the heater ever will and without the need to blast you face with hot air........... plus the ladies love 'em!
