R32North
Cheers! So, thats 12kgs. Was looking at some Magline Forged alloys today (out of curiosity) and they had them in MKIV fitment, looked not bad, and weighed in at 5.5Kgs each. Thats light, very light
Mook
If they're 12kg, I've suddenly acquired the ability to bench press 400 kg! I had two OEM OZs delivered today (one spare and one to replace the M3 incident damaged one). At a guess, I would put them at 8 or 9 kg each. 5.5kgs is stupidly light though! A tyre weighs in at about 8-9kgs! The alloy would be about 12kgs! Seen lots of a18" alooys at around 22-24lbs, and teh Aristo is supposed to be a heavy bugger so 27lbs would be about right! I want some 5.5kgs alloys tho - how much reduced unsprung weight is that. Better handling, better ride, better accelaeration, all better!
Rachel
The other question is whether the Ronal "Aristos" weigh the samw as the Oz "Aristos"... My car has all Ronal rims.
larryccf
i weighed mine on a fairly accurate shipping scale when i swapped out to SSR Comps My R32 came with Ronal mfgr'd wheels and they wgh'd 27.1 - some folks with the Aristo mfgr'd wheels reported weights in the 26 - 26.5 range complete wheel and tire came in at 51 lbs the SSR Comps are 15.1 so basically i took 12 lbs off each corner but i'm looking for another set of wheels - got a link to the Maglines?? - that feels awfully light for a street wheel but nice for a track rim
