JonoNZ
Hi all I've searched high and low for info on this, but does anyone have any pictures or connection details on what the rear of the RCD300 has. In particular I'm interested in something like a low-level pre-out (for connection to an external amplifier). I have a GTI which has 10 passive speakers....and looking into what options I have for improving the audio quality from this unit. Any help greatfully received! Mk3golfer
if you want to connect to an external amp you're better off getting a replacement head unit and new fascia panel, one with line outs. as i dont think the rcd has any extra connections on the back, ive seen an aux fitting for it but its expensive and im not sure exactly what it does... This is a bablefish translation from german to english) The RCD500 MUST also have a line out i would think as it runs the dynaudio system in the passat and also the VW soundpack option in the golf.
