jay127
Ok the 06 Audi A3's how much can i lower it without any rubbing on both 19s and 18s. I was thinking 40mm, but i think that'll cause problems. will it??????
John_Doe
Jay, 40mm seems a little drastic, why don't you take a look at H&R Sports Springs, they offer a 25mm all round drop and that could just do the trick!!
tinka
remember the 40mm will be on a standard a3,if the car is an s-line or sport then the drop will be about 20mm,as the s-line and the sport i think? are lowered 20mm as standard>
Hector-8
mine is a sport, and they are lowered 20mm all round as standard.i put 18"s on mine,35mm profile is totally dif from 40mm.i would seriously stick with 18",anyway...i put 35mm lowerin springs in,they are apex.i didnt notice a dif in hardness or "the bumps".it closed the gap in the arches nicely, never rubbed yet and i lived on a very bumpy road.i would say 35 or 40mm would be ok but only with 18"s.but i would say your pushing lowering 40mm with 19"s.plus audi told me that if i put 19"s on and my dampers or anything else suspension or spring related broke, they may not cover it cuz the car was only designed to cope with 17"s or the upgrade size which is 18"s.hope this helps. jay127
cool, appreciate that, il probably stik with 18's and lower 30mm fornt 35mm back, will this rub????????
jay127
and also, i think thew sport/s-line only come with an extra 10mm drop not 20mm. Hector you got any pics of yours lowered 35mm??? does it rub anywhere? and what size engine is it. Also hector the dealers give the option of 19s on an a3, so im sure that nothing suspension wise would go wrong

Hector-8
if it wasnt for my driveway dipping just before it hits the road i mite have it lower, but once i have 2 or more people in the car it hits the ground.its one of those driveways were the road is sloping down \ and the drive slopes down to / so once the tyres are in the gap the front bumper comes mighty close to the ground. ,but thanx for your opinion. as for the post question, 18"s lower 35 or 40mm wat alloys u putting on ? jay127
I think your cars at a nice height, any lower and you'll be hearing horns at speed bumps. Anyway I think if yours doesnt rub with 35mm drop, I could get 19's with a 40mm drop max, without rubbing. But if i decided to stick the reiger front lip on my car then 35mm drop will do me
