FunkyT
This has caught me out on a few occasions. When I leave the door open for about 30 seconds it auto alarms - this can be quite annoying if you're rummaging inside the boot! Any idea how to disable this feature or is it a fault? Thanks. FunkyT
Thanks for the welcome - I was referred by a nice chap on OcUK Any VAGcom tuners in Newport, South Wales?
shao_khan
I think the easiest option would be to try to make one of the South West meets as I would imagien there would normally be someone there with one (see meets section). Otherwise check VAGcom section to see if there is anyoen local to you. I am not sure exactly what bits can be activated / deactivated - I know Autolock / beep on lock / onepress unlock can all be done so I dont see why auto arm cant be altered wither. benjie
The auto alarm function should not happen if you open a door or the boot withing 30 sec of unlocking the car mate. It only goes off because the car does not detect a door/boot opening so it locks itself again after 30 sec. That's a standard security feature. if it's doing that on your car when the doors/boot are/is open then something's gone wrong I think. Either: 1. Door lock module/microswitch in one of ther doors (Does the light in the door come on when you open it? 2. A broken rear washer pipe causing leaking into the boot lock - is your rear washer working ok? Both these are common faults, it's the only reason I know about them!! Welcome to Tyresmoke!
