Chris_B
[ QUOTE ] Do you not get a factory debadge option? Easier to attach the S8 badges to a debadged car than partially debadge a badged car if that makes sense! [/ QUOTE ] Well, there are two debadge options, engine only and engine & model. My D2 S8 had just the S8 badge anyway, no engine size, which was great. I was hoping there would be an 'engine size' debadge which would result in having no V10 badges on the front, but would leave just an S8 badge on the back, but the coding doesn't appear to be in the ordering system for some reason (full debadge is), so my advocate told me that if they can't order it with the V10 badges off only, he'll get the PDI guys to take them off and give it a polish up afterwards. Much easier than me doing it!
Ian_C
Don't blame you. Like Daz upgrading to the RS4 Cab, it will be interesting to see how you get on with a newer version of the same car. Ian

Having said that, I think Chris might be about to blitz both of you. *goes back off to crawl under his stone. One day, one day.... Ian
Chris_B
[ QUOTE ] I've been perfectly happy with the change from A6 2.7T Avant to RS6 Avant! [/ QUOTE ] I loved my A6 2.7T Avant, and I was worried that I wouldn't like Tip in the S8 when I changed, but I haven't looked back from there, and every change has been a thing of joy. The 2.7T to 4.2T 'upgrade' must have felt strange as the interior (dash etc) would have felt so familiar, yet the response to the loud pedal would have felt so different! I even sometimes try to use features from the A8 in the allroad because Audi interiors are all so good I genuinely forget what I'm driving when swapping between the two, strange though that might sound.
