help with Golf V RCD300 head unit

Recommended Posts

I have bought my Golf V with the RCD 300 radio system, unfortunately i don't have the manual for it,I have a lot of questions and if anyone can help me it will be highly appreciated

what is the RMS output power of this system?

Does it have an auxilary input?

Does it have an input for a cd changer?

what is the function of the TP button?

the car is equiped with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters at the front can I add extra speakers at the back?

No adjustment for fader appears,is there a way to adjust the fader if i succeed to connect speakers in the rear?

did any one try to connect any ipod to this system and can tell me how to do it?

I appologize for the too many questions but i am really desperate for help in answering any of them

Thanks in advance

Don't know myself, it says 4x20 but if thats not RMS and its peak power, music power or anything else from past experience it will be 4x7RMS.

Sort of most interfaces use the CD changer input.

Does it have an input for a cd changer?

Yes it can be used with the optional VW cd multi player.

what is the function of the TP button?

TP meens traffic program, Its part of the RDS system and interupts the CD playback when theres a taffic bulletin on the radio. Handy for motorway trips.
