Dave Posted March 10, 2006 Report Share Posted March 10, 2006 Apparantly Mick (from Revo) did have Rob's ex RS4 at over 200.. maybe rob can confirm, but it had a shed load of work done, including new gearbox, fuel injectors and re-maps.. all sorts of stuff done!. Kell Posted March 13, 2006 Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 I know Paul Clarkson had his highly modified (550bhp) RS6 Saloon up to high 180s at a recent VMAX. I think you'd need to do some serious work to get it over 200mph. Streamlining would be your biggest problem. Did you ever see the Fifth Gear attempt in the Lotus? As I recall the RS4 had remap, full milltek, lightweight flywheel and race clutch, bigger injectors and FPR, and the diesel gearbox. On the day it was running some of Keith Murray's special high octane race fuel. I think it managed 165mph on the straight at VMAX III. There just wasn't the room to take advantage of the higher gear ratios. Allegedly "Mick" got to around 200 on the way home, however. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
