RedRobin
Hi lazerblue > You are deffo on that slippery slope of modding even before you've got the car! . I would say that the AP brake kit is more important if you start doing track days, and also if your re-map is a Stage 2 (270bhp-ish) and you like to drive hard. CMC950
Why are you all discussing driving at 80mph as the standard? Its about throttle openings, not the speed. If you drive at 80mph with a light trottle to get there, and then judge the road ahead so that you have less acceleration and braking inputs and perhaps you'd arrive at the foot of a hill at 85 to make the the ascent more economical, you'll get a good mpg. But if you accelerate hard to get to 80 and then bury the throttle again every time a slower car pulls in from your lane, you'll get a much worse mpg. Drive quikly but smoothly on the motorway and you'll save money. These are my 'credits' which I then spend on the b-roads!!!
