Well went to get DIS fitted today. Stock fitted and coded but it seems LCD dash doesn't support this. By all accounts I have a "low line" dash and need either a mid or high level dash so to get DIS to work I now need a new dash. Anyone got any ideas where I could source one ? Garage are quoting £200+vat + fitting. Oh and electric window driver side packed in on way to garage so had to get wiring repair done on door loom. Argh never rains...[/TD]

I have a 2005 B7 without MFSW, cruise or DIS, but I would like to retrofit a DIS stalk (no need for cruise but it may come at a later date).

My SCM is 8E0 953 549 S and from what I think I understand this supports DIS but not cruise, can anyone confirm if this is the case? I do not remember seeing this clarified in this thread though the SCM was mentioned a lot.

Cheers,

Mojo

Hi All,

Sorry that I am recalling this thread again, but I need some help.

I have just installed cruise control with module 8E0 953 549 Q from audi B7 2007year to my car Audi A4 B6 2004 year, it's working fine.

I have intention to install MFSW as well, but old type (b6 type single stage airbag) as soon as I find it. I do not want to instal B7 MFSW.

My question is : will this module support old style(B6) multifunction steering wheel (as this module is from new model B7) and will be possible to use speak control with this steering wheel as on below picture? Did anybody use this module with B6 MFSW? Will slipping ring with part No. 8E0 953 541 E (D) be compatible with this module and make MFSW working good?

One more question, is it possible to use steering wheel from Audi A6 or A8 which looks like this one and appropriate steering slip ring?

Thanks for the replies,

Regards

Novica

Again - I've never tried this, but from the VAG-COM label files, you'd need to enter the learning code in adaption mode:

;---------------------------------------------------

;

; adaptation information

;

;---------------------------------------------------

;

;

A081,0,Learned Values (Vehicle Data)

A081,5,Learned Values (Vehicle Data)

A081,6,To start the process for vehicle data (VIN)

A081,7,learning enter/save 00111 as new value.

;

From this, I would assume you'd go into module 16 (Steering Wheel), then adaption, then go to channel 81, and enter 00111 and then save. Presumably, that would make the SCSM learn your car's VIN. If this doesn't work, it may be worth posting something on the VAG-COM forum. They guy that actually wrote VAG-COM sometimes posts on there so he may be able to help. 169144-ok.gif

hello,

maybe anyone can help for me...

i have problem with this adaptation - now in module 16 wsc is 00000 and i can't change it to 00111... wheel steering module is from another car

Hi everyone, pretty cool thread with some good information but wondered if someone could walk a noob through activating the DIS on my 2002 A4 130 TDI. My situation is abit different so not sure exactly what to do.

First off my car has the highline electrics (remove light switch and lights come on).

It also has the wiper stalk with the DIS switches already factory fitted (well assume its factory) which makes me think i could miss out afew coding steps described by previous posters as i don't have to code the new stalk module in?

so i'm not sure from here what from here and any help would be great. Cheers.

Hi

I installed a dis wiper stalk to my a4 2.5tdi b6 avant today.

I fitted everything and coded it.

When I reconnected the battery the screenwash warning came on as expected.

I then removed the blue plug on the clocks and soldered a wire to pin 1( brown and red I think). I earthed this wire.

When I turned the ignition on again I have a load of warnings on!!

Screen wash, coolant level and petrol!

Could I have knock or diss connected something while under the dash?

Cheers
