Bison1379134007
I think with the heat thing you only really notice it if you're running quite high boost pressure and i'm guessin the standard Golf GTI is under 1 bar - anyone know?

DHA
On other cars I have driven I have been quoted up to 10% power loss dependant on the speed of fan.

nbetts
My GTi feels a 'Second off the pace' since the hot weather. Really noticeable when accelerating from 45-80mph on a slip-road etc. As for air-con units - they rob the engine of a couple of Kilowatts ~ 3-5BHP and to be honest are worth every BHP they rob.
