Dan32
Pristine Think that's them. I'll check when I pick wheels up as having tyres fitted at the mo and they have the boxes the wheels came in with the phone number on.
hixster
Just a little update.. got the wheel back on Saturday after it was refurbed by the tyre company. Although the finish seemed good initially, on closer inspection , I wasn't at all happy with the colour match or finish. I could see the speccled finish of the paint under the laquer. So, after some heated discussion with the tyre guy and after him offering to send the rim away to be re-refurbed (which i told i wasn't interested in) we have settled on getting a new wheel. Which he is only prepared to contribute 100quid to. He's also bought it trade so I get that discount too. So should come in at about £240 less the VAT, which I hope not to have to pay either. So , all in all , forking out more money.. £100 quid and the refurbed old wheel is better than nothing, but not as good as having my new wheels as they were before I pulled in to their tyre shop. You live and learn eh? Next time i'll probably go to VW and have them do it as they use rim protectors... I have to say that although I was pretty pissed off at the company in question, they have totally accepted the liabiliy, been apologetic, tried to repair the wheel and failing that have contributed to a replaceement. This shouldn't have happended , but accidents do happen and I think they have acted pretty well in the circumstances.
