I've read that the 200sx has a rather thin paint finish and that was plain to see as it was covered it scratches. The passenger door in particular almost looked like it'd been keyed. None of them looked too deep, but it'd certainly need some work to polish them all out. The guy at the garage confirmed they hadn't prepped the car at all as it'd only come in a couple of days ago [The guy seemed genuine and as the car only appeared on AutoTrader yesterday, I believe him]. The inside didn't look perfect either. Service history? "Lost". He didn't seem keen on taking my car in as a trade in as they are 4x4 specialists and only took the 200sx to secure a sale on one. So I don't think I'll be getting that one. I passed a garage with a Clio 172 in on the way home so took the chance to have a look around one of those. Very nice car, but I wasn't keen on the clutch. I maintain that Vauxhalls represent good value for money but today was also a reminder that newer, cheaper cars aren't necessarily as good as older cars that were once expensive but have since become cheap.
