John hess Posted October 16, 2009 Report Share Posted October 16, 2009 My 2006 A4 Convertable 2.0 TDi. Will be out of warranty in 1 week. It has started to judder first thing in the morning pulling away. It stops after a couple of minutes. Took it into Audi Tamworth who initially said no fault after keeping it overnight to test it.. But after I played my face and went on a test drive with the chief technician (and it juddered) they have kept the car to 'fix' the problem. i will keep you up dated ..... juddles Posted December 17, 2009 Report Share Posted December 17, 2009 I'm now getting a knocking when reversing!I noticed it the other day manoeuvring into a parking space. I engage reverse, let out the clutch and there's knocking just as the car starts to move. I can reproduce it by juggling the clutch and accelerator, but it requires a slightly aggressive action on my part. At first I wondered if it was the exhaust, but it appears to be more transimission orientated. Hi sponge, its been a while since you posted this but if you are still around i would like to know what happened as i have the same problem with my Zafira 2.0dti. irishejit Posted December 18, 2009 Report Share Posted December 18, 2009 mine does the exact same thing.ended up being the air con pump making the noise.made more noise in reverse as the engine load shifted a bit making it noiser...thats what VW said was happening when I left it in.
