Absolutely yes - had been on TSN for ages waiting for it to be built - so I had read several posts regarding running in before I even got the car. Therefore I was careful and never above 4000 revs and never stressed when cold during the first thousand miles.

So it's quite ironic that it drinks oil - however it did so during running in, when it needed over a litre in the first 1050 miles. So it was thirsty for oil from the start....

All ideas and suggestions welcome!

Problem is solved if you have a Revo remap - Because you can switch/reload the performance map yourself (if I understand correctly). Otherwise a reputable tuner will probably be quite happy to load the remap again free of charge.

The 'trick' is to return map to stock ready for dealer's update and then reload the performance map again/after.

I'm far from a mechanical expert but the Telegraph's Honest John always bangs on about balance when running in. Go too gently and you end up with an engine that's not bedded in properly - apparently leading in some circumstances to excessive oil consumption later on. On that basis I've always taken it fairly gently for the first 1000 miles - but without being too kind, if that makes sense!
