RacingRed
Did anyone ever see this? Site claims it was at Geneva '06. I've always tought that an Alfa engined and styled Elise (which this blatantly is) would be a great and relatively cheap way for the company to put out a sports car. Especially after the VX220 flopped in showrooms, Lotus would have been glad for the contract work. Alfa Romeo "Diva"
NeilB
I'd love to see Alfa have something like the VX220, but I can't see it happening. As there are still question marks over the residuals, and people have the opinion that they are always in the garage like they were in the old days. I'm not keen on the front end of the Diva to be honest, it's a bit of 8C meets Enzo. Now the front end of the Spix is another matter!
RacingRed
I like the lights and grille, but below that those air intakes are far too much. Lack of wheels an obvious flaw as well. As I recall the arse of that one looks rubbish too. [ QUOTE ] I can't see it happening. [/ QUOTE ] Would that matter for a low volume model like an Elise? It's only going to appeal to enthusiasts anyway, lack of luxuries, etc. Shocked me, I'd never seen or heard of the Diva until I came across that site. It would be easier getting that on the roads than the entirely custom 8C. Plus, didn't Lotus want to do a V6 Elise at some point? I quite like it anyway, looks better than the S2 Elise. T-top roof sounds like a better idea than the fiddly Lotus canvas lid.
