Rustynuts Posted September 29, 2006 Report Share Posted September 29, 2006 I'd use full synthetic if I was you. Your turbo will love you for the full synth. The currect VW oil specs are VW 504.00 for 10k miles service interval and VW 507.00 for Longlife service. These supercede all previous oil requirements for your engine, so any oil with these numbers on will be great. The old specs for your engine were 505.00 / 505.01 (not sure which) for 10 k miles and 506.00 / 506.01 for Longlife service (again not sure which).
