A4 B7 Q Spec Ed. - Suspension update

As others have found, the Special Edition suspension has always been a bit too high to be called "sports" suspension, but I thought I was gradually getting used to it - until today.

I actually had some weighty gear in the boot at the weekend (1st time since I got the car)and I have noticed that now the gear has been removed, and I've had a spot of "off-roading" along high speed bumpy roads in Lincolnshire my suspension just looks plain wrong...

I measured the gap from top of tyre to wheel arch and the gap on the rears is 3cm, but the gap at the front is 5cm.

The car is definately sitting lower at the back, and it makes the car look out of balance. confused.gif

A car should if anything have a slight drop at the front to look purposeful IMO...

Just wondered, before I trot off to the dealer whats happens to other Spec Ed owners suspension since they have bought it?

What do you reckon the chances are of having anything adjusted/replaced under warranty?

For info I've now had the car 5 months and have done 5000 miles...

Cheers,

J

I dont really care about the distance but one thing I know id that the special ed suspension is bloooody awful; really harsh bumpy, bouncy and under damped.

The car is perfect other than this..

I wonder if the spec ed has S Line suspension or DTM suspension though... need to look it up in ETKA to be sure.

I suspect that the spec ed has the DTM suspension since the Quattro Gmbh build situation....

I think all B7's are like that, I even noticed it on Drewcam's S4 when sat next to mine but on the last couple of occassions it hasn't been as noticeable i.e. front and rear are the same. I've also noticed it on a few B7's sat at the dealers.
