Keys locked in car boot

Hi there

Yesterday my uncle was up from london visiting us, and unfortunatley he locked his keys in his boot. My uncle tried to get in for about half an hour or so, he managed to get a welding rod in and nearly got the catch to open the boot, but it went tits up after that. He called a BMW specialist out and he managed to get in to the boot in the matter of ten minutes. The guy wouldn't let him watch how he got in. Just wondered if anyone knew how they do it as it's been baffling me.
